Lindsay Kivi is a Minneapolis-based contemporary painter that loves to work with both acrylic and watercolor. Her subjects consist of mainly animals and her style is a fresh take on traditional animal art with a loose flow of brush strokes and unexpected pops of color.
Lindsay grew up in Northern Minnesota and has been an animal and nature lover all of her life. She believes that every animal on this earth has its own individual, colorful personality so she aims to focus on a moment in time, an emotion, or a special quality that deserves attention in every piece of art that she creates. Animals are an integral part of our lives, and even more so in nature and our environment, so her mission is to create compelling art that deepens one's connection to all living beings. Every painting is an affirmation of the single most important message: we are not separate from nature.
