Pattern for "Wild Goose Variation" quilt
 by Mabeth Oxenreider
From the Mills Collection
Finished quilt size: 64" x 64"
Finished block size: 9 1/2" x 9 1/2"

There are 13 blocks in this quilt. Each block uses the same fabric for the background of the flying geese and the center squares, but uses various fabrics for the rest of the pieces. The "geese" are darker than their background color.  Each block includes four sets of 2 half-square triangles sewn together with one light and one dark fabric.  The dark fabric lies closer to the "geese" and the lighter fabric sits to the outside of the block.

PATTERN CORRECTIONS

Please make the following corrections to your pattern:

The finished block is a 10" square, not 9½" as stated. This creates the following changes:

Under Initial Cutting:

The sashing should be cut at 3" x 10½."

The setting triangles should be two squares cut at 18⅞."

The corner triangles should be two squares cut at 11½."

Under Construction:

Under item 9, cut two border strips at 57" and two strips at 66."

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
