1. Quilt entries must have horizontal and vertical measurements no less than 36-inches and no greater than 60-inches.
2. 75 % of the quilt top must be fabric from the Century of Progress Collection by P & B Textiles.
3. Entries may be pieced, appliqued, or mixed techniques; hand or machine quilted.
4. Entries must be prepared for exhibition at the Museum with a 4-inch sleeve across the top of the quilt back.
5. Entries must have a cloth label on the back, bottom right corner of the quilt
with the entrant's name, address, date and title of the quilt.
6. A 60 to 100 word description must accompany each entry for use as label text if selected; jurors will also read this description during
their selection process.
7. Contest is open to quilters of all levels.
8. Only one entry per person or per group is allowed.
9. Entries will be judged on overall appearance,
effective use of fabric, and workmanship in construction, quilting and finishing.
10. All quilts must be received between May 15 and June 1, 2001. Entrants will be notified that their quilt has
been received. Please send quilt, entry form, and a self addressed stamped card for notification of receipt of your quilt, and your written description to:

11. Selected entries will be exhibited at the Allentown Art Museum from June 17 to August 5, 2001. Entries not
selected for exhibition will be returned via UPS by July 31, 2001.
12. Works are insured while at the Allentown Art Museum and during return transit. Accepted works will be insured from the date of
delivery for a maximum of $1000 until the return date. In the event of loss or damage, it will be the artist's responsibility to provide documentation concerning the work's value.
13. Entrants are
responsible for all costs related to shipping and insurance of quilt in transit to the Allentown Art Museum. Return shipment will be by UPS and will be paid by the Museum.
14. An entry fee of $15 must
accompany each entry. Please make all checks payable to Allentown Art Museum. The Allentown Art Museum is a non-profit organization.
