Some of your favorite quilters are
putting their creative talents into finding a cure for breast cancer. Alex Anderson (author and star of HGTV's "Simply Quilts"), Elly Sienkiewicz (creator of 10 Baltimore Beauties books), Piece
O' Cake Designs (Linda Jenkins and Becky Goldsmith's books, patterns and fabrics), Susie M. Robbins and Karen Montgomery are among 13 quilters who have created and donated quilts for our
new book, "Sew with the Stars," which will help raise funds for Sew for the Cure®. The goal is to raise one million dollars for breast cancer research.
If you liked the P&B fabrics created by these talented women,
you'll love the quilts they made! Each created a quilt from her own fabric collection (Alex made two!) and Elly made a beautiful signature label. Other quilters in the book include Nancy Taylor,
Mabeth Oxenreider, Julie Sheckman, Julee Prose, Andrea Balosky, and Kathleen Butts and Ann Marra, a mother/daughter quilting team.
"Sew with the Stars" goes on sale in May, 2002. All profits from the book will go to Sew for
the Cure®, which supports the American Cancer Society, the National Alliance for Breast Cancer Research, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
You can own one of the original quilts! We'll be auctioning them online, and the profits from
the sales will also go to Sew for the Cure®. We haven't set a date yet, so keep watching the web site for details.
